Platform Sales and Hire Ltd are Celebrating 15 Exciting Years
The company was founded in 2002 by Chris Caney and Duncan Howard on an ethos to supply customers with modern, up-to-date access equipment and excellent value for money. Fifteen years on we are proud to still uphold our original values, whether the equipment is rented or purchased.
The early years focussed on sales until Bucks Access Rental was acquired in 2010 allowing us to enter the rental market with a fleet of 80 machines. Our staff, customers and manufacturers, together with long-standing friends in the industry, have all helped us grow to a fleet of 850 machines. Operating out of two Access Depots – Milton Keynes and Birmingham – our team has grown from two to over 63 members of staff.
Our fully-equipped Service Department is busy maintaining around 400 service contracts nationwide, while our IPAF Training Department achieved PASMA Approved Training Centre status in February 2016.
Taking time to reflect on such a milestone, we’re viewing the future with immense excitement. Year on year we are growing and as a company, we’re looking forward to more positive growth and everything the next 15 years or more will bring!
