Was this truck mount error a death wish waiting to happen?
As seen in Vertikal, this truck mounted lift user has clearly made some efforts to improve safety by displaying cones but has missed other critical issues. The knuckle at the back is in line, if not slightly protruding over the cones and the operator also does not have a harness on. This could have been an unhappy ending with passing by traffic so close. At Lifterz we offer comprehensive IPAF training to tackle safety when working at height. Contact us today to find out more, or view our IPAF training courses here.
As seen in Vertikal, it was reported a man was electrocuted on Friday while trimming trees from a trailer lift in Cocoa, due east of Orlando Florida. The man was using a Genie TZ50 at the Cypress Strand mobile home park when he inadvertently touched an overhead power line with his chain saw. The machine appeared to have been set up under some substantial power lines for the work to be carried out. Sadly, the incident was fatal and shows the need for appropriate training.

JLG X33J Plus CCB Spider Lift
JLG has incorporated retractable non-marking tracks taking the overall width down to 1.2 metres, this gives it the capacity to pass through a standard double doorway.
This is an exciting release from JLG and showcases some of the technology that will be seen in years to come to make access platforms more efficient, safer and reliable.
