Site Manager Safety Training Refresher Course

Duration: Five Days

Please note all SMSTS Refresher courses will be delivered remotely by a tutor over a video call. To attend the course delegates must have access to a computer, laptop, tablet or phone that uses a microphone and webcam. Connection quality is the responsibility of the delegate. If you have any issues connecting to Zoom please visit their System Requirements for PC, Mac, and Linux. Please login before the course start time, late arrivals may not be able to attend. You will be asked to present your photographic ID over webcam on the course. All necessary course materials will be provided in digital format. You will be emailed a downloadable version of the book on the course. The minimum entry requirement is a good understanding of spoken and written English.

This course is for you if you have previously passed the Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course, or a subsequent refresher course.

Overview

This refresher brings your health and safety knowledge up to date and provides a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. It builds on the material in the original course as well as introducing new subjects.

At the end of the course you will be able to:

• implement all updated health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation which affects your management role
• implement new guidance and industry best practice
• fulfil your duties and responsibilities with regards to health, safety, welfare and the
  environment
